Detail: The Pharmaceutical Track and Trace System (ITS), controlled by the Turkish Medicines and Medical Devices Agency under the Ministry of Health, implemented a traceability system in 2010 as the first in the world in medicine traceability. ITS provides people with the past and current status of drugs in the supply chain by the 2D code technology. The Pharmaceutical Track and Trace System is in compliance with GS1 standards.
