In general, pharmaceuticals produced with low weight and containing materials such as prospectus, spoon, pipette in the contents of the carton should be precisely measured before leaving the line. Automatic Pharmaceutical Checkweigher Station PCW-100, which can measure pharmaceutical product weights between 5 g and 1000 g at a speed of 300(*) cartons/minute with an accuracy of 0.1 g, can work integrated with traceable production processes.
A conventional checkweigher consists of input, measurement, and output conveyors. Load cell placed under the measuring conveyor detects the weight changes while the conveyor belt is running and measures the weight of the product passing through it with a certain precision by using special mathematical functions. This weight information is processed in the internal automation system and the system decides whether the product will be accepted or rejected. Products whose weight falls outside the predetermined acceptance range are sent to a locked rejection box with the help of an air piston.
Thanks to the integrated industrial Intel-based computer system, there is no hardware and speed limit for changes specific to operations.
Validation and revalidation of the checkweigher system can be performed with GAMP5 compatible documents delivered together with the system.
It guarantees the continuity of production processes with 24/7 remote and on-site assistance support service.
Precise and Accurate Weighing
It can be measured with an accuracy of 0.01 g (10 mg). Then, these values are directed to the feedback port for filling calibration of the packaging machine.
The conveyor lengths and also guidelines of the system can be quickly redesigned according to the operational requirements.

The station can be controlled by VISIOTT Line Manager (Level 2) software developed by VISIOTT. Line Manager is designed following the requirements of the pharmaceutical industry, following standards such as GAMP5 and 21 CFR Part 11. It is fully integrated with VISIOTT Plant Manager (Level 3).
