Case Aggregation by Switch Method
SWAS-100 Case Aggregation by Switch Method
Industries whose production operations need to be fast must also adapt serialization and aggregation processes that work at high speed to their production process. Companies will make a difference in time and labor force management when they integrate their operations. If you manually perform your case packing after serialization stations, you can semi-automate the aggregation operation. With VISIOTT TPS SWAS-100 Aggregation Station by Switch, you can meet your serialization and aggregation needs with a single solution.
VISIOTT TPS SWAS-100 Aggregation Station by Switch can operate independently of line features by integrating into the output of any serialization station. It combines serialization and aggregation operations by automatically establishing the hierarchies of the products leaving the serialization station during 2D code printing. Thus, you can perform your business management at an affordable cost without the need for an aggregation station with a separate camera system.
The hierarchy of the products whose data matrices are verified is established by determining the number of products that will enter the case for the aggregation process in the prescription. The products whose hierarchy is established move forward to the area where the operators on both sides perform the case packing, from the station’s automatic switch compartment designed following the occupational safety standards. Operators place cases in an ergonomically shaped carriage to manually arrange products. The presence of label printers in both areas of case packing contributes to efficiency by increasing the speed of the operation.
When the amount of product specified in the prescription to enter the case is reached, the automatic switch mechanism activates and directs the products that will enter the next case to the other case packing area on the same line. In the meantime, carrier unit labels are automatically printed from the printers located in the packaging area. Labels verified by operators with a handheld scanner are manually applied to cases.
VISIOTT TPS SWAS-100 performs your serialization and hierarchy-establishing processes following international standards in various sectors such as pharmaceutical, food, and cosmetics, besides the ease of operation it provides. The station is controlled by VISIOTT TPS Line Manager (Level 2) software. It supports work order, product, and prescription systems in accordance with industrial dynamics. It is fully integrated with VISIOTT TPS Plant Manager (Level 3) software.
